Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 19, 2026
This policy explains what personal data BaconOS ("we", "us") collects through this website, why, and what rights you have over it. It applies to baconos.ai and its subdomains.
Who we are
BaconOS is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at hello@baconos.ai for anything privacy-related, including the requests listed under "Your rights" below.
What we collect
We only collect what you give us through the site's two forms, plus basic technical data generated by your visit:
- Stack check tool: the website URL you submit, and — if you choose to unlock the full read-out — your email address.
- Strategy call request: your name, work email, company website, team size, and anything you write in the "what would you most like to improve" field.
- Technical data: standard request metadata (IP address, browser/user-agent, timestamps) collected automatically by our hosting provider as part of normal web traffic logging.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not currently use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers of any kind — nothing is tracked across visits or sessions today.
We expect to add privacy-respecting analytics (e.g. Google Analytics or similar) in the future to understand site traffic. If and when we do, this policy and the site will be updated first, and — where required by law — we will ask for your consent via a cookie banner before any non-essential cookie is set.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To respond to your request — generating your stack-check read-out, emailing you a copy, or following up on a strategy-call request. Legal basis: performance of steps you asked us to take prior to a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to inbound inquiries.
- Occasional related emails — a small number of follow-up emails tied to the tool or request you used (for example, pointing you to something relevant we built). You can unsubscribe from these at any time, and we tell you this at the point you submit either form. Legal basis: consent, given at submission.
- Security and abuse prevention — technical/log data is used to keep the site running and to prevent spam or abuse of the forms. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for anything beyond what's described above.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers ("processors") to run the site. They only process your data on our instructions:
- Netlify — hosting, and storage of form submissions (both forms post through Netlify Forms).
- Resend — delivery of the emailed stack-check report, when that feature is used.
Both are based in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on the standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards those providers offer. We do not share your data with anyone else, and never for their own marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your request and any relevant follow-up — generally no longer than 24 months of inactivity — unless we're required to keep it longer for legal reasons, or you ask us to delete it sooner.
Your rights
If you're in the EEA, UK, or a jurisdiction with similar protections, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent at any time (e.g. unsubscribe from follow-up emails)
- Receive your data in a portable format
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority
To exercise any of these, email hello@baconos.ai. We'll respond within a reasonable time and, in any event, within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Children
This site is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Security
We rely on our providers' security measures (encryption in transit, access controls) and limit access to submitted data to what's needed to respond to it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when what we do changes — for example, when analytics is added — and update the "last updated" date above accordingly.
